22/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission granted clearance to the acquisition of joint control of SR Technics Holding AG (SR Technics) of Switzerland by Istthmar PJSC (Istithmar), Mubadala Development Company PJSC (Mubadala) and Dubai Aerospace Enterprise Limited (DAE) all of the United Arab Emirates. Istithmar is an investment company focusing on private equity, real estate and other investments. Mubadala is active in investments in a wide range of sectors. DAE is a holding company for manufacture and services companies. SR Technics is active in the maintenance, repair and overhaul services for commercial aircraft. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. (cd)
