Brussels, 16/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 12 October, the European Commission decided to send a reasoned opinion to 13 EU Member States that have failed to notify the Commission of the transposition of two key directives of the second railway package into domestic legislation. Directive 2004/49/EC on railway safety and Directive 2004/50/EC on rail interoperability should have been transposed by 30 April 2006.
