Brussels, 05/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 5 September, the European Commission adopted a proposal on total allowable catches (TACs) and quotas for 2007 in the waters of the Baltic Sea. It proposes a 15% reduction in cod quotas in these waters, a species highly valued by eight EU Member States (Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania).
