Bishops concerned at European Parliament vote on human embryo stem cell research

Brussels, 21/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - In a press release sent out after the European Parliament vote on the 15 June in Strasbourg on the 7th Research Framework Programme, the Bishops' Conferences of the European Community (COMECE) stated that it, “objects to the proposal of the European Parliament and the European Commission to provide EU funding for research activities with human embryos and human embryonic stem cells”.
