Finnish company NOKIA and SIEMENS from Germany will merge their land line and mobile phone infrastructure. The two partners will therefore be creating a jointly owned company -NOKIA SIEMENS NETWORKS. It will have an annual turnover of nearly € 16 billion (€ 6.6 bn from NOKIA and 10 bn from SIEMENS), a workforce of around 60,000 and will be just behind CISCO SYSTEMS, ALCATEL-LUCENT and ERICSSON.
