Decision to reinforce energy cooperation and adoption of joint strategy against piracy and counterfeiting are main results of economic plank of Vienna Summit

Brussels, 21/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - Energy security, the promotion of trade and investment and the Doha negotiations were the main economic issues dealt with at the EU/United States Summit in Vienna on 21 June (see other article). The decision to reinforce transatlantic "strategic energy cooperation" and the launch of a joint strategy to fight piracy and counterfeiting are the most significant results of it. Unfortunately, however, the Vienna Summit saw no breakthrough on the Doha...
