Strasbourg, 19/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Parliament adopted a resolution on Sri Lanka by all political parties except the GUE/NGL and IND/DEM. In the resolution, it regrets that after an initial meeting in Geneva in February, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) did not attend the peace talks in April which therefore had to be suspended indefinitely.
