Committee calls for June summit to give clear message

Brussels, 19/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) called on Heads of State and Government to give a clear vision of the future of Europe during their summit on 15 and 16 June. It also urged them to open ways to break the current deadlock. Giving new credibility to the European project and conferring new legitimacy to the integration process are essential conditions for overcoming the identity crisis currently facing the EU, the EESC said....
