When it comes to agricultural market access, opinions still differ greatly on sensitive products and special products

Brussels, 19/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - The new deadline for a compromise on ways to improve non-agricultural market access (NAMA) - i.e. the level of reduction of customs duties and the amount of flexibility granted - has been fixed by negotiators for June. Fearing that the Football World Cup could distract negotiators away from the discussion table, WTO Director General Pascal Lamy trusts that a political agreement may be reached by the time the tournament begins on 9 June.
