At the summit in Vienna on 12 May, heads of state of the EU, Latin America and the Caribbean adopted a long statement on boosting their strategic bi-regional partnership, published below in French and English in the In Strasbourg on 19 January 2006, by 385 to 125 with 51 abstentions the European Parliament adopt EUROPE/Documents series (see Europe 9191 and 9192 on the Summit and meetings between the EU and Central America, the Caribbean, the Andean Community, Mercosur, Chile and Mexico).
