Brussels, 19/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - The High Representative of the EU for CFSP, Javier Solana, is to visit Indonesia and Japan from 20 to 25 April. In Jakarta, he will hold talks with the Indonesian President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and with the Foreign Affairs Minister, Hassan Wirajuda. On 22 April, Mr Salako will visit the province of Aceh, where he will meet regional and local leaders and visit the general headquarters of the Peace Observation Mission, to which the EU contributes, together with other international partners.
From 23 April, the High Representative will be in Tokyo, where he will meet, amongst others, the Japanese Foreign Affairs Minister, Taro Aso. On 24 April, Mr Solana will take part- together with the President of the European Council Wolfgang Schüssel and the President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso -in the EU/Japan Summit.
