Euromat warns that slot machine industry could face huge losses if thousands of one and two euro notes are introduced

Brussels, 02/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - Euromat, the European Amusement and Gaming Federation, is unhappy with Italian Forza Italia MEP Amalia Sartori's idea of introducing one and two euro banknotes (endorsed by 373 other MEPs, see Europe 9057). Eduardo Antoja, Euromat President, comments that 'the reasoning provided by the written declaration for the introduction of low denomination notes is frankly without foundation, nor is any attempt made to justify assertions made,' by Amalia Sartori....
