Brussels, 20/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - A few days after the European Council broke down over the financial perspectives, several Socialist and Social Democrat party leaders and heads of government, meeting for their summit in Vienna on 24 and 25 June, will discuss the future of Europe and in particular, the EU's priorities in 2006. Among those taking part will be British Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott, the Prime Ministers of Portugal, José Socrates and Hungary, Ference Gyucsany, the President of the European Parliament Josep Borrell, the President of the party of European Socialists (PES) Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, the President of the Socialist group in the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, and European Commissioners Günter Verheugen and Vladimir Spidla.
