Loan of 70 million pounds for education in United Kingdom

Luxembourg, 20/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a loan of 70 million pounds for a public-private partnership project (PPP) implemented by North Lanarkshire Council (Scotland) as part of its Education 2010 programme, which includes the construction and maintenance of three secondary schools and eighteen primary schools in the North Lanarkshire area, an Objective 2 area for EU structural fund aid.
