Ratification process may be extended but not interrupted

Brussels, 14/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - Addressing the European Parliament Committee on Constitutional Affairs in Brussels, on Tuesday, the Luxembourg Foreign Minister, Nicolas Schmit, said the European Council should not “give the signal that the ratification process” for the European Constitution has been broken off, but “perhaps extend it, slow it down”.
