Delegation from Chinese parliament to EP foreign affairs committee responds to objections from those opposing end to arms embargo

Brussels, 28/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - Members of the parliamentary committee of the foreign affairs committee chaired by Elmar Brok (CDU) listened to replies from Chinese deputies to objections voiced by those opposing the lifting of the arms embargo on China (notably the insufficient respect of human rights in China and the risk of destabilisation of the strategic balance in the Pacific).
