The Canadian telecommunications equipment supplier NORTEL has bought the American PEC SOLUTIONS (turnover of 62.6 billion dollars in the fourth quarter of 2004 and 1,700 employees) for 448 million dollars (or 15.50 dollars per share). This operation will create a new company, to be known as NORTEL PEC SOLUTIONS.
