ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) chemicals

The Dutch firm AKZO NOBEL's decorative coatings division (turnover of 12.9 billion EUR in 2004 with 61,000 employees) has concluded a deal to buy SWISS LACK (turnover of around 45 million EUR in 2004), the leader of the sector in Switzerland. The sum of the purchase has not been revealed.
