Greenpeace criticises funding allocated to nuclear research at expense of renewable energies

Brussels, 11/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - Reacting to the adoption by the European Commission of the draft 7th Framework Programme (RDFP) (EUROPE 8922, 8923 and 8924), which provides for doubling Community funding for research in the period 2007-2013, Greenpeace has denounced the inadequacy of funding allocated to research into renewable energy sources compared with that allocated for nuclear research.
