European arrest warrant: Italy still lagging behind, other Member States' poor application

Brussels, 23/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Arrest Warrant is now being used by a number of countries but around ten Member States are not applying it sufficiently. Italy has still not adopted it. This is the European Commission's balance sheet for the first year of application of this instrument which replaces the extradition procedures between Member States.
