The French company MICHELIN plans to sell its “wheels” activities to the German specialist MEFRO (consolidated turnover of 160 million EUR in 2004 with over 1000 employees in three factories in Germany). This activity relates to four branches and generates 300 million EUR in turnover for production of 18 million wheels for cars and 2.3 million for heavy goods lorries.
