Brussels, 17/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Commission adopted a purely factual report on the functioning of the common market organisation (CMO) for the banana during the period 1999-2003. Amongst other things, the report shows a sharp increase in sales of African bananas in Europe, which is of concern to the Latin American producing countries (yesterday's EUROPE, p.17).
