21/12/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has granted clearance to the acquisition of sole control of German company Braunschweiger Versorgungs-AG (BVAG) by Veolia Water Deutschland GmbH (VWD). Veolia is a large French utility whose German water and waste water business is operated by VWD whose activities focus on Berlin and the German Länder of Sachsen and Sachsen-Anhalt. Veolia will buy 75% of BVAG for an estimated EUR 370 million.
