Gordon Brown denounces lack of competition in awarding public works contracts in Europe as revealed by British study - Commission's mitigated reaction

Brussels, 15/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - A British study highlights dysfunction in the internal market when it comes to allocating government contracts, mainly in the defence, energy and transport sectors. On Tuesday, Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown plans to denounce such practice before the Ecofin Council.
