SMEs disappointed by Kok Report

Brussels, 08/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - European small and medium-sized enterprises find the recommendations made by Wim Kok on mid-term review of the Lisbon strategy "too broad, too weak". In a press release, Paul Reckinger, UEAPME President, admits: "We are disappointed by the report. On the one hand it rightly recognises the need to focus on economic growth but on the other hand its recommendations do not support it as much as we would have liked".
