Ingrida Udre answers questions about party funding and her unpopularity in Latvia

Brussels, 08/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - Commissioner designate for Taxation, Latvian Ingrida Udre, does not appear to have won over MEPs. During her hearing on Tuesday, MEPs questioned her at length on her involvement in a party financing affair in Latvia and her plans for taxation in the EU. In a press release, 'Socialist MEPs expressed serious reservations on the suitability of Commissioner Designate Ingrida Udre.'
