Clinical Stage II trial of new cancer treatment at JRC institute in Netherlands

Brussels, 08/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) announced on 4 October that an innovative treatment known as Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) was applied for the first time in Europe recently during a clinical Stage II trial to a patient suffering from brain metastases induced by a specific type of skin cancer.
