Council gives Commission mandate to open negotiations with Ukraine

Brussels, 08/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - Thursday's Transport Council adopted a decision authorising the European Commission to open negotiations with Ukraine with a view to its cooperation in the European satellite radionavigation system, Galileo. The agreement will be of the same kind as that with China and Israel. The scenario for cooperation includes multilateral and industrial cooperation, and research and scientific activities especially on standardisation issues. The Commission has...
