Markos Kyprianou shares MEPs' concerns about consumer protection but lacks lustre on public health

Brussels, 08/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - In his hearings at the European Parliament on Friday, Cypriot Markos Kyprianou tried to make a good impression as a politician open to dialogue with the EP. Speaking in Germany (to thank the President of the Environment Committee, German Christian Democrat Karl-Heinz Florenz), English and French, he said that as Cypriot finance minister he felt that good management of public finance was important, and expressed enthusiasm about his portfolio topics....
