New Quartet meeting on Israeli withdrawal

Brussels, 06/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - the Middle East Quartet met up again on Tuesday in Jerusalem at a high official level, to continue the discussions on the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, which began on 24 June in Taba, Egypt (EUROPE 25 June p 6). Special Envoys from the USA, Russia, United Nations and the EU (Marc Otte from Belgium) reiterated their support for the Egyptian plan that intends to pave the way for the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
