Brussels, 06/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Council of Ministers of the EU is soon going to authorise the European Commission to negotiate an amendment to the Community banana export system at the WTO. The EU has to replace the current system by 1 January at the latest (import quotas) with a single tariff system (EUROPE 3 July 2004 p 15).
