French company SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC, has sold off its minority 40% stake in VA TECH TRANSMISSION ET DISTRIBUTION, a joint venture it owned with the Austrian company VA TECH. This subsidiary is the third largest high tension equipment company in the world with a turnover of EUR 620 million in 2003 with 2600 employees.
