Swiss company BARRY CALLEBAUT (turnover CHF 3 bn in the first nine months of the tax year with a staff of 9000), the number one player in chocolate and cocoa products, has acquired AM FOODS (turnover of CHF 52.2 million in 2003- tax year), a subsidiary of the Danish ARLA FOODS foods group, for an undisclosed amount. The enterprise will be incorporated into the GOURMET & SPECIALITES de CALLEBAUT group.
