Brussels, 22/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - On 21 April, the European Commission authorised the regional authorities of Piemont, in Italy, to set in place an aid regime in 2004 aimed at deviating heavy goods traffic from the Lago di Maggiore state highway 33 to the A26 motorway. This regime, which was initially to take effect in June to September 2003, will finally be implemented between 1 June and 30 September 2004.
