ETUC supports European Commission proposals on chemical products (REACH)

Brussels, 14/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - Welcoming the European Commission's REACH (registration, evaluation, authorisation of chemicals) draft regulation in a press release, the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) considers this to be "an important step toward protecting workers, the general public and the environment against the potential dangers of the some 30,000 chemical products that are manufactured or imported into the EU each year in quantities of one tonne or more".
