Towards an agreement at beginning of May on re-exported products

Brussels, 14/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Union and Switzerland are expected to reach an agreement "around the first week of May" on the introduction of tariffs on EU goods re-exported from Switzerland, indicated the spokesperson for Commissioner Frits Bolkestein, Jonathan Todd, at the Wednesday morning negotiating session in Brussels.

Switzerland has already obtained the postponement from 1 March to 1 June of a measure that was expected to get rid of customs rights it had...
