Commission expected to propose market liberalisation of car spare parts sector

Brussels, 25/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is expected to propose in April amendments to the directive on protection of industrial designs, in order to liberalise the spare parts market in the car sector. This will enable independent workshops to mainly reproduce "visible" spare parts, for the bodywork and repairs of vehicles.
