Brussels, 25/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Union and the USA are on the point of reaching an agreement on monitoring auditing companies, indicated Commissioner Frits Bolkestein at the end of his meeting on Thursday in Brussels with William McDonough, president of the US monitoring body the PCAOB (Public Company Accounting Oversight Board). The principle of recognition of inspections of auditing companies in host countries is "'clearly established", he said.
