Presidency will attempt to forge agreement over draft Eurovignette directive at Tuesday's Transport Council

Brussels, 05/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - There will be a limited number of items on the agenda of the Transport Council in Brussels on Tuesday, to be chaired by Seamus Brennan. The Irish Presidency is hoping to be able to formulate general agreement on the draft directive on taxes on lorries using the trans-European Road Networks (TEN-T), despite the disagreements that continue to rumble among Member States on the issue.
