05/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - Monday's Council decided without debate to allow the Irish Presidency, with the support of Javier Solana, the EU High Representative for CFSP, to open negotiations with a view to concluding agreements with third countries to allow them to take part in the EU police mission in Macedonia, Proxima. On 10 February, the Political and Security Committee (COPS) on the EU accepted contributions from Norway, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine.
