France implements European arrest warrant

Brussels, 05/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - France is the ninth Member State to apply the European arrest warrant. The French constitutional Council has validated legislative provisions relating to the arrest warrant contained in the so-called "Perben 2" law, and its transposition will therefore be effective from promulgation of the law within two or three working days, the press service for the French Permanent Representation in Brussels said on Friday.
