05/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - In an interview with the Hurriyet newspaper, Secretary to the Foreign Office Jack Straw said he hoped Turkey would achieve its goal of beginning talks for EU membership. "The EU promise is clear - if Turkey does what it has to do, the EU will start negotiations without delay", the British Minister said.
