20/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - A delegation of MEPs, headed by Luisa Morgantini (European United Left, Italy), President of the European Parliament delegation for relations with the Palestinian Legislative Council, will be visiting the Palestinian Territories on 19-22 February, ahead of a hearing at the International Court of Justice in The Hague on the legality of the separating wall constructed by Israel, explains a press release. The MEPs want to investigate what is going on in the area and will be visiting the main towns and villages affected by the construction of the wall. They will also be meeting representatives of the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli Foreign Ministry, and the Israeli and Palestinian promoters of the Geneva peace initiative for the Middle East.
