Brussels, 20/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Commission decided to provide humanitarian aid of EUR 6.2 million for the population of Bam in south-eastern Iran affected by the tragic earthquake on 26 December 2003. This latest decision will help continued efforts to meet the most urgent needs of the victims, and will focus on health care, hygiene, sanitation, and psycho-social support.
