American company OWENS ILLINOIS has undertaken exclusive negotiations with GLASSPACK PARTICIPATIONS with a view to the purchase of French glass group BSN GLASSPACK (turnover of 1.3 billion EUR in 2003 with 19 factories) for 1.16 billion EUR. The transaction, for 1.16 billion EUR in cash, will include BSN GLASSPACK's debt.
