Polish senate attempts to impose minimum age limit of 30 for candiates

Brussels, 22/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - While the parties are still thinking about their strategies for the European elections, the Polish senate has just amended an electoral draft law. Currently, the 54 seats distributed among the 13 electoral areas and the registering of the lists will be on the condition that 10,000 signatures are provided. The senate has also introduced a minimum age: it will now be necessary to be aged 30 in order to qualify as a candidate a the first European elections...
