Danish brewer CARLSBERG is to launch a friendly take-over bid of 522.5 million EUR (or 38 EUR per share), not including debt, for the German HOLSTEN group (brands Lübzer, Feldschlösschen and Astra; turnover of an estimated 441 million EUR for 2003). The Eisenbeiss family, which holds 51% of the capital, will sell its stake.
