Commission hopes to conclude readmission negotiations with Morocco, Turkey, Ukraine and Russia this year

Dublin, 22/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - During Thursday's informal "Justice and Home Affairs" Council in Dublin, European Commissioner Antonio Vitorino said that the Commission hoped to conclude the negotiation of readmission agreements with Morocco, Turkey, Ukraine and Russia this year. In the presence of the Turkish Minister, he stressed that concluding such an agreement would be an important part of the general framework of bilateral relations between the EU and Turkey.
