Parliament welcomes NEPAD's economic and political objectives - they must guide EU support for African development

Brussels, 22/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - Following its rapporteur, Jean-Pierre Bebear (EPP-ED, France), the Parliament adopted a resolution in Strasbourg last week, on the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD), welcoming the innovative nature of this African initiative of the African Union (AU) socio-economic development programme.
