In the US, JP MORGAN CHASE has bought its rival BANK ONE in a transaction estimated at 60 billion dollars. This operation will give rise to the second largest financial group in the United States, with 2300 branches, assets worth 1100 billion dollars and a market capitalisation of 130 billion.
